Dr. Ana Kitanovic is a screening automation specialist at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases in Bonn. Within Laboratory Automation Technology Facility at DZNE, Dr. Kitanovic develops and validates automated high content screenings and is an expert in automation, compound management, drug discovery, data science and epidemiological studies. Originally from Serbia, Ana was studying biology at University of Novi Sad in Serbia and with her family at 2001 moved to Germany where 2006 she received her Ph.D in Natural Sciences at Heidelberg University. Prior to joining DZNE, she worked as a scientist at the Institute for Pharmacy and Molecular Biotechnology and the University of Heidelberg within the field of DNA damage and metabolic control of cancer cells. Ana is particularly interested in Integrated Systems, Drug Development and Bioinformatics.
