Dr. Fenglin Wang studied biomedical sciences and received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Tulane University. She has more than 10 years of experience in cell biology and over 6 years in cell line development as well as downstream purification. At WuXi Biologics, Fenglin leads a team in cell line development for biologics that has delivered over 100 cell lines for IND with high productivity and desirable product quality. She also leads a team in mammalian protein expression and purification utilizing different host cell line systems. Her team successfully produces over 5,000 different proteins per year on behalf of clients.   These biologics generated include multiple types of difficult-to-express recombinant proteins, monoclonal and bispecific antibodies, and enzymes. She also leads the cell line engineering efforts for desirable host cell attributes to facilitate protein expression.
