Patrick Erbacher, Ph.D.

Patrick Erbacher received his PhD from the Centre of Molecular Biophysics, CNRS, Orléans, France, on cationic polymer mediated nucleic acid delivery in 1996. He joined the Laboratory of Dr Jean-Paul Behr, CNRS & University of Strasbourg, where he developed synthetic nucleic acid delivery systems based on targeted and modified polyethylenimine-based nanoparticles. In 1999, he received the Thermo Fisher Scientific Prize for Biotherapy. He participated in Polyplus-transfection’s funding in 2001. Since then, he is managing the R&D activity. He is the co-inventor of many patent applications and co-author of more than 60 publications.
