In this video, the role of dissolved oxygen and carbon dioxide in bioreactor cell culture is explained. The speaker describes the affect of both dissolved oxygen and carbon dioxide, on cell growth and product quality and optimal ranges for each. Advice for monitoring levels of dissolved oxygen and carbon dioxide, including the use of both probes and optical sensors, is discussed. Calibration and maintenance of these monitoring systems is also described.
